Collab Enlitens

Terms of Service — Liz Wooten LPC

The Terms Of The Exchange

Scroll. Know what you're agreeing to. Keep expectations aligned.

This Is A Professional Exchange

When you use this website, read our content, or engage with our courses, you are entering into a professional exchange of information. We provide frameworks, strategy, and clinical consulting based on over a decade of actual, on-the-ground mental health experience and fifteen years of working with neurodivergent individuals across the lifespan. We are sharing what works for us so you do not have to reinvent the wheel.

By being here, you agree to take what is useful to your specific context and leave what is not. We are not responsible for the specific financial outcomes or growth metrics of your private practice, because your execution is entirely in your own hands. We can give you the blueprint, but we cannot build the house for you.

This is not a magic bullet. If you sign up expecting a "done for you" miracle without putting in the necessary work, you will be deeply disappointed, and we will not issue a refund for your lack of effort. We expect professional engagement, critical thinking, and a willingness to try things that might initially feel uncomfortable.

Intellectual Property & Licensing

Everything we write, design, and build on this website is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). You can check the footer of this site to verify this. We believe knowledge should be free and accessible, not locked behind artificial walls.

Under this license, you are entirely welcome and encouraged to copy, share, and redistribute our content, articles, and course materials in any medium or format. If you want to study our materials in a consultation group, share a lesson with a colleague, or apply our marketing frameworks directly to your own practice, please do. That is exactly why we put this together. You must give appropriate credit (attribution) and provide a link to the license.

However, there are strict legal boundaries. You cannot use our materials for commercial purposes — meaning you cannot rebrand our frameworks, bundle them into a paid coaching program, or sell them to other therapists. Additionally, if you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you may not distribute the modified material. We share our work freely to support clinicians; we will legally defend it against predatory agencies or coaches looking to profit off our labor.

We Sell Nothing (Financial & Service Terms)

We sell nothing on this website. Our entire SEO course and library of practice guides are 100% free, open-source, and ungated, with no paywalls, email traps, or upsell funnels. There are no digital products to purchase, meaning there are no sales transactions and no refunds to process. If you find our free course valuable, we provide a single donation link on the last lesson page where you can pay what you feel it was worth to support our work, but this is entirely optional.

Our collaborative services (website builds, SEO setups) are similarly built on a pay-what-you-feel donation model, with no upfront build fees. The one required payment is the $250 Collab Session, which every website build starts with — and paying it transfers full ownership of the resulting site, content, and domain to you immediately, regardless of any later donation. To cover direct server costs, managed hosting is provided at a flat $32/month (cancelable anytime, no contract, no lock-in). For the Collab Session itself, a $100 deposit secures your slot, with the remaining $150 due after the session, and any additional hourly consulting is billed at $125/hour to cover Liz's time. If you choose to rent one of our physical office suites in Crestwood, MO, that is handled under a separate, signed lease at a flat $650/month.

Because we sell nothing and run on mutual respect, we expect basic professional courtesy. Booking a Collab Session requires a $100 deposit, which is fully refundable with at least 3 business days' notice. If you cancel or reschedule with less than 3 business days' notice, or fail to show up, the deposit is forfeited. Completed consulting sessions and hosting fees are final and non-refundable.

No Clinical Advice Is Given Here

Liz Wooten is a Licensed Professional Counselor, but by interacting with this site, she is not *your* counselor. Nothing published on this website constitutes clinical advice, forms a therapeutic relationship, or serves as a substitute for professional mental health treatment. This should be obvious, but the lawyers insist we say it anyway.

We discuss the business, marketing, and operational realities of running a sustainable private practice. We do not provide clinical supervision or case consultation unless specifically contracted to do so under a completely separate, legally binding agreement that covers those specific liabilities.

Please do not ever send us protected health information (PHI) about your active clients through our contact forms, email addresses, or social media channels. We do not want it, we are not equipped to protect it under HIPAA in a casual context, and sending it is a violation of your own ethical requirements.

We Can Change The Rules

The internet moves incredibly fast, the therapy industry is constantly shifting, and our business evolves as we grow. Because of this reality, we reserve the absolute right to update these terms at any time without sending you a forty-page notification email that you will immediately delete anyway.

If we change something fundamental about how we charge for services, deliver the course material, or handle your data, we will explicitly notify all active users. But for minor operational tweaks or typo fixes? Just assume the terms posted on this specific page are the current law of the land.

Continuing to use the site after we update these terms means you explicitly accept the new rules. If you fundamentally disagree with the new rules, you are entirely free to stop using the site, delete your bookmarks, and walk away. The choice is always yours.

Third-Party Links & Software

Throughout our articles and courses, we frequently link to external resources, software, and third-party platforms that we think are valuable. We absolutely do not control those external websites, and we are not responsible if they crash, change their content entirely, or do something terrible with your data.

Occasionally, we might use an affiliate link if we genuinely use and recommend the software (like SimplePractice, a specific EHR, or a reliable web hosting provider). We will always explicitly disclose this when it happens. We will never recommend a bad product just to make a tiny, irrelevant commission.

If you click a link and leave our ecosystem, our terms no longer protect you. You are in the wild west of the internet at that point, and their own privacy policies and terms of service apply. Browse defensively.

Termination of Access

We built this platform to elevate the standard of private practice and support therapists who are tired of the grind. If you use our community spaces, contact forms, or course modules to harass us, spam other therapists, or act with profound unprofessionalism, we will revoke your access permanently and immediately.

We have zero tolerance for predatory behavior, MLM pitches, aggressive entitlement, or abusive communication. If we terminate your access for violating these basic standards of human decency, you will absolutely not receive a refund for any previous purchases.

We reserve the absolute right to choose exactly who we do business with. We protect our peace, our time, and our community ruthlessly. If you are a nightmare to work with, we simply will not work with you.

If you disagree with any of the terms outlined above, your sole recourse is to stop using this website immediately. We do not negotiate our terms of service on an individual basis.
