Privacy Policy — Liz Wooten LPC

What We Actually Collect

Scroll. See what happens to your data. Decide if we'd get along.

We Are Not Data Brokers

Standard privacy policies are written by corporate lawyers to protect companies from lawsuits, not to protect you or your data. They are designed to be entirely unreadable, filled with endless jargon and deliberate loopholes that eventually give the company legal permission to track you across the internet.

We are therapists and consultants, not tech executives. We make money when you hire us for our expertise, not when we secretly package and sell your email address to a third-party marketing agency. If you are looking for a forty-page legal document that forces you to waive your rights just to read an article, you are in the wrong place.

We do not want your data. We do not have the time, the infrastructure, or the moral flexibility to analyze it. This document exists to explain exactly what happens when you interact with this website, in plain English, without the corporate smoke and mirrors.

What We Actually Keep

When you use this site, we collect the absolute bare minimum required to communicate with you, process payments, and sync your progress. In most cases, that means just a name, email address, and whatever message or question you send us. We do everything we can to avoid storing any data beyond what you explicitly provide.

If you use our email contact or questions form, we collect only the name, email address, and specific questions you submit. This is used solely to read and answer your message personally. If you choose to sync your free course progress across devices, that sync data is stored securely in our Supabase backend. We use passwordless magic links to authenticate you, eliminating the risk of password database leaks.

If you book a Fit Check via Calendly, we receive your name and email to coordinate the meeting. If you choose to donate via the single payment link on the last lesson page of the course, or pay for hosting or strategic sessions, your payment is processed securely by a third-party processor (like Stripe). We sell nothing directly on our servers and never see, store, or have access to your credit card details or financial credentials.

Analytics Without The Creep Factor

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on this website to see if anyone is actually reading the things we spend hours writing. We want to know if a specific article is genuinely helpful to the community, or if it is sitting in the dark completely ignored. This helps us decide what topics to cover next.

However, we do not track your cross-site behavior. We absolutely refuse to use Meta Pixels or TikTok tracking codes to follow you around the internet and haunt your social media feeds with retargeted ads. That industry standard is invasive, manipulative, and entirely contrary to our values.

Our analytics tell us macro-level trends, not your personal history. We care that one hundred people read our article dissecting marketing scams. We do not need to know that you specifically read it at two in the morning. We look at the aggregated traffic patterns, not at you as an individual target.

Our Infrastructure Is Boringly Secure

"Bank-level security" is a meaningless marketing buzzword used to make you feel safe while companies do reckless things with your data on the backend. Here is what we actually use: Our backend runs entirely on a highly secure Google Cloud Virtual Machine, governed strictly under a Business Associate Agreement (BAA).

When you save your course progress, that information is routed through Supabase on a managed cloud instance. We handle absolutely everything in-house. We maintain total control over our server architecture precisely so we never have to rely on questionable third parties to protect our visitors.

We do not bolt on random WordPress plugins or cheap third-party marketing software that silently leaks data. By keeping our technology stack intentionally tight, custom-built, and fully controlled, we minimize the surface area for anything to ever go wrong.

We Absolutely Refuse To Use CRMs

Most consulting firms and marketing agencies will funnel you into a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system the absolute second you click a button on their site. Their software will secretly tag you, score your "lead quality" based on your behavior, and drop you into endless, automated harassment email sequences.

We do not use CRMs. We do not apply arbitrary scores to you. You are a human being, a peer, and a professional—not a "lead" waiting to be converted. The therapy industry is already plagued with enough dehumanizing metrics, and we refuse to bring those practices here.

If you reach out to us, we will email you back personally. If you decide not to work with us, we will gracefully accept that and move on. We will never put you in a predatory "win-back" drip campaign. Your inbox belongs to you, and we respect your right to be left alone.

Third-Party Sharing (Spoiler: We Don't)

Let us be as explicit as possible: We do not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information. Ever. Not to marketing agencies, not to data aggregators, not to "trusted partners," and not to anyone else. The data economy is fundamentally broken, and we refuse to participate in it.

The only time your data ever touches a third party is when it is functionally required to provide the exact service you asked for. For example, we use Google Workspace (under a signed Business Associate Agreement) to actually deliver our emails to your inbox, we use Cloudflare to ensure our website doesn't crash, we use Calendly to manage our schedule, and when you send us a question through the site, a notification (including your question and the email you provided) is routed to our private team channel on Discord so a human sees it quickly.

We view these services strictly as utility vendors providing necessary infrastructure. They are not partners we trade data with. They are bound by strict agreements that prevent them from using your information for their own purposes. Your data stops with us.

Your Rights Are The Default

You have the absolute right to know exactly what data we have about you, to ask us to change it if it is wrong, or to demand that we delete it entirely. You do not need to live in California or the European Union to be granted these basic human rights. We do not geo-fence our respect for your privacy.

If you ever want us to wipe your existence from our systems, simply send us an email and tell us to do it. We will execute the deletion immediately. There are no hoops to jump through, no complicated forms to fill out, and absolutely no manipulative "are you sure you want to leave?" retention tactics.

We believe that privacy is not a feature you have to opt into—it is the default state of interacting with us. We built this platform on trust, and maintaining that trust means giving you complete and total control over your own digital footprint.

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding your privacy, please reach out to us at hello@enlitens.com. We review and update these practices regularly to ensure they remain aligned with our values.
